"At least you seem to have a better handle on it than most who are your age so that's a major step up," Piper remarked. She felt the skin from where the knife had cut heal as well as the various scrapes and bruises from the fight. It was remarkable what vampire blood could do - both good and bad.

She nodded understandingly. "Whatever you can find out, even if you don't find anything out... it's more than what I have now. Just promise me you'll burn whatever is left of my blood. I don't want others with sensitive noses to pick up on it and come after you in response." Especially when he was only trying to help and wasn't asking to be thrown into this pseudo battle.

Piper took the case with both hands and clasped it close. "Promise I won't. I don't plan on dying any time soon." While forever may not be in the cards, she would be damned if she didn't fight with every ounce of her being until it was all said and done. What came after that, she didn't know and it was the very last thing on her mind.

She nodded and gave him a grateful smile. "Tomorrow, once I've regained some of my strength, I'd be happy to swing by... wherever you'd like to place some wards on your practice or your home. It won't take long."
