It's not funny and yet, at the same time, he can't help but laugh. "That's the thing. We're both dealing with what is considered weird for the supposedly normal world and yet we have to balance an entirely different society at the same time. And you're right. It is getting worse."

He's seen it in several ways, watched the way tempers were rising and others were getting upset by the way things were going.

Again she gets a chuckle from him. "Well, sorry but they're going to have to start scheduling these things. Tell them your doctor said so," he teases, even if he worries. He's sworn he'd never sire another, and he hopes to stay true to his word.

Relief shows on his face, even as he tries to hide it. "Thank you. I really appreciate it. Knowing anyone can walk in just because I own the place is nervewracking and not resorting to using humans to take care of that. If I had a friend, sure, but none of this servitor bullshit I hear about."

She's funny and cute and doing work most shouldn't have to deal with, and he can't help but to be open with her about how he feels about things.
