"Life is always going to be a pain," he agrees, shaking his head ruefully. It's true though and they both live in worlds that make that clear.

"Oh. I'll put it on a prescription pad. You can give one to everyone not listening and they can come talk to me." Which is maybe not the best idea, but also amusing to him.

He smiles warmly at that. "All good then. I am really just glad to be able to help. I know it's not everyone in the community but I'm glad so many do try and do better. For everyone."

Making sure everything is secure, he gives her a look. "I may know a place. Mind some company?"

Maybe it's not the best idea but it's not often he has a chance to spend time with someone that understands all sides of things and who doesn't already know the rest of his life.
