"Well, I haven't had any negative reaction to vampire blood in the past which I suppose is lucky for me in the grand scheme of things," Piper said with a quirk of her mouth.

She nodded. "Before... well, just before in my life, that inherent danger wouldn't have been a great concern." She wasn't sure how much she should share with the attractive vampire doctor but he did come at a moment's notice to help her out. Which was, she knew, his profession but all the same.

Considering the pain she had been feeling, she hardly noticed as he cleaned the wound with practiced ease.

"You should know since you're the doctor, that at one point I was practically immortal. I'm less confident in that theory right now with this," Piper explained motioning to the wound with her free hand. She wasn't about to go into her sob story like this - with her shirt off and a doctor cleaning her stab wound - but she figured it was especially important for him to know why she had been less concerned about the being turned part. Or, more specifically, the dying part.
